I always took Hordak as a vampire-like creature that used magic before but he switched his attention to science, and eventually combined the best parts of both worlds. He's a warlord. Ruthless. Merciless. Would kill people even after they have surrendered. Sadomachochist even in some way as he likes to inflict pain on others and is not afraid of pain himself. Doesn't mind getting his hands dirty with blood, and loves to play it even more dirty so he can be victorious. A new definition of the meaning of evil. His more scientific based armor protects him from the larger attacks. His cape is battle-worn and his armor full of scratches and battle-damage. His face as Horde symbol on both his chest as on the shoulder parts of the cape, and even a shield carries this large symbol of fear. Capsules with green liquid in his belt... some say these are to power his battle armor. Other says they contain acid to torture captured people. Others say they can be used as explosives. Nobody knows for sure as no one who had encountered Hordak lived to tell the tale.
I added a blue colour in his face to reminisce his blue colour in the filmation cartoons.
