This figure was made using an iron man movie series iron monger figure as the base. I removed the head and sculpted a new head out of sculpey. I used the cockpit variant of the monger figure to avoid the arm-smashing action feature. I had to remove the cockpit mechanism and glue the cockpit shut. I'm sure an industrious customizer could use the cockpit feature to have the pilot of the zero-g visable. I used bits of plastic sheets to fill in the circular aperature on the chest of the figure in order to give him a distinct look. Bits and pieces were added to the chest to create lights and handles. The guns on his gauntlets are from a random zoids figure and the protoform optimus prime figure from the movie line. The main body of the flight pack was made from a backpack from one of the m. A. R. S. Figures sets available at most walmart stores. I added the side rockets from a bandai gundam figure. The arm of the shoulder cannon was made from the arm of an overkill figure from the g. I. Joe valor vs venom line. The shoulder cannon was made from one of the guns from a r. E. V. S robot figure and a breath mask from a generic 12 inch soldier figure. I applied several coats of silver paint over a black base coat and then gave it several black washes to build up grime and wear.
