Hi everyone. This is "L&L Horror Toys" for you from Argentina.
This time I bring you a BONUS from the Hellboy collection, my "Abe Sapien". After giving me the great satisfaction of being able to replicate the Hellboy collection that the Mezco brand released, with designs faithful to the comics (which you can find in the works published in my profile), I managed to understand the necessary techniques to be able to maintain the results already obtained without having to have the original figure for reference. So I had the pleasure of replicating a character from the same universe but this time the version released by the brand "1000Toys". To make this figure again I reassembled parts of WWE figures (they are the bodies that I use in general). To achieve certain particular aesthetic details instead of shoulders, use groins (since these figures usually have very small spheres on the shoulders), and another great detail was the calves created with sculpted putty on metal souls. The head is a totally sculpted piece of my own (and there is an alternative head that I will upload in a separate post).
Then I sculpted the entire figure with the same two-part epoxy putty.
As for the accessories the vest is made of eva foam, as well as the fins and gills that I made with smaller pieces flattened, thermoformed and painted to later embed them in the figure.
Finally, I painted everything with my own acetonic-based painting technique with details in acrylic and watercolors.
