I found this Predator figure at Walmart and liked the base figure enough to want to try and use it for a project.

Overall it wasn't a bad figure, aside from the colors-for some reason they took the cheap route line and mixed decent looking colors with some out of place bright colors, which is where I decided to start here.

First, I started by covering the obnoxious colors, specifically on the chest with a darker black dotting. To me, this is a Jungle Predator and I wanted him to blend in better. Next I touched up the straps on his arms, legs and body that were left the same color as the rest of the body as well as the jaw on the mask. After that, the whole figure was given a black wash and then a brown wash on the legs to give the figure a grittier and active look.

I wanted to add more than just the figure, so I took a spare Fairy Garden forest tent and converted it into a Hunting Camp style tent. You can see that the Predator can't fit in the tent, but I figured while he was out hunting he needed a place to keep his kills, food, supplies, etc. I added a the large skull on the top, the food creatures hanging from the rack, the stack of skulls, the leaning equipment and the gathering cage on the inside-all of which was painted, touched up and given a black wash.

Finally, the figure was given his weapons. It came with the small plasma caster and the heavier silver plasma caster. I found a spear weapon I thought fit well and I had an old Neca plasma caster that I converted into a pistol type weapon. All of which were black washed for wear.
