Just a rundown on how I did this. I went with the arms from Starkiller Base Han, as the color closely matched young Han Solo's pants. They ended up being a straight swap. I boiled and popped everything off. I took the POTF2 Dash and cut at the waist, then dremeled out the upper armor, so it was just the shell. I cut out a small piece on both sides under the arms, so the armor is removable. I cut off the shoulder plates and dremeled those out. This was a bit tough as they are so small. I repainted the entire figure with Kantor Blue, as that color was a close match to the arms and legs (but also wanting the entire figure to match). I repainted the shoulder pads on the armor with Skrag Brown, also using this color for the designs on the body and legs (I don't have any experience sculpting so I just painted). I dropped everything in hot water (minus the armor) and reassembled the figure. Then I slid the armor on (had to be careful as if I squeezed too hard it would have broke). I superglued the shoulder plates on the shoulders, but only used superglue on the sides of the ball joint, so the articulation is still there. Finally I dremeled out the neck socket on Dash. I really wanted to go with the sleeveless look for Dash, as that is the look he is depicted with the most. I did look at the Dagobah Luke figure that came out in 2019 with Yoda but those arms looked terrible. I guess you could say this is Dash from the comics, as he had sleeves there. Head/upper armor/shoulder plates: Dash Rendar (POTF2) Arms: Starkiller Base Han Solo (The Black Series) Body: Young Han Solo (The Vintage Collection) Gun: Echo Base Han (TVC)?? ![]() |
