Here's the fruits of some labor of love: A 1/6 scale Clone Commando. In this case, the figure is based on the EU characters of Omega Squad, who all wear matte black armor.

I've been wanting to do one of these guys for years but wasn't sure how too. Finally, the idea came to me to use a 12 inch scale Jango Fett body and 3D print the armor. Well, while I was in the process of figuring that all out, I found a listing online that was selling the armor, resin printed, already with a body. I'm still doing my idea, which will feature a real Temerua Clone head and a removeable helmet, something this one doesn't have, but in the meantime I wanted to give the kit a try.

The base body is some random 1/6 figure. The armor, hands, feet and blaster were all resin printed for detail. Once I got them, I sanded them down in places to clean them up and then painted all of the armor pieces. Being all black, it went pretty smoothly. Once all the hard pieces dried, they were all hit with sealer to help protect the paint. Once that was dry, the armor was put on the body, in some cases, like the cod and chest pieces, the two sides were glued together once on the body and had their seam paint touched up.

Had a super fun time with this figure and am really happy with how it turned out. Looking forward to making more in different styles now that I've given this test figure a go!
