The X-Men Movie Mystique figure is beautiful, and when I was able to get a second one on discount, I was wondering what I could use it as a base figure for. Inspired by how other customisers had made Poison Ivy customs from Witchblade figures, I wanted to make a Poison Ivy figure from this Mystique, but wasn't sure how well the scale detail would translate into something more plant-like. I decided to give it a go, and am fairly happy with the results. I went with flesh-toned Ivy rather than pale green, as she's sometimes depicted, to create more of a contrast between the plant-covered parts of her body and the exposed parts. The head is a White Rabbit head with modified Typhoid Mary hair, with a sculpted vine crown. The vines on her arms and legs were made with twisty wire, as are the vine effects that attach to her wrists. Painted it all up. Thanks for looking!
