Custom Hawkgirl figure. Recipe: Marvel Legends Polaris main body & lower arms. Marvel Legends Dagger head & upper arms. DCUC Hawkgirl wings and mace. Sculpted the helmet and armor on boots. painted the skin tones on the abdomen area and the arms. Painted the boots red and the armor on the boots brass with a black wash. Painted the helmet brass and black with a black wash. The top was painted in the middle with yellow. Gave the wings a black wash with a dark grey drybrushing. Wrapped the lower arms with bandage wrap, cut to scale then gave it a grey, light brown and dark red (in the knuckle area) drybrushing. The shoulder strap and pants belt are rubber bands painted light brown with a black wash. Painted the wings hinge joint the same way as the strap and pants belt and made it a sword sheathe (the reason for that is because I felt the hinge joint took away from the "realism" of the figure and made it look robotic). Altered the wings hinge joint as it was glued into the DCUC Hawkgirl figure and I didn't want to dremel a hole into the new bases (Marvel Legends Polaris) back as she already had a peg hole in her back for her cape. Sanded down flat the piece that went into the back and that connected the hinges to the back together. Drilled a hole into that piece. Took the pin that went through that piece and through the hinges, put it through the drilled hole, cut it to scale and glued it to that piece. Put the hinges back together, put them into the holder piece and replaced the pin with a screw and put the wings into the peg hole in her back and now the wings are removable.
