Count Luchino Nefaria is a Marvel comics character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Nefaria first appears in The Avengers Vol.1 issue 13 (1965). Originally, Count Nefaria was just an ambitious Maggia Don who hired mad scientists and super-villains. Later, he became super-powered himself. He is one of the Avengers' most powerful enemies, although not one of their most recurring.
