My first custom of 2021 is a personal take on everyone's favorite ninja commando. This guy was basically completely formed in my mind once I saw the first pics of McFarlane's Grim Knight. I mean, who the heck needs a Punisher Batman when that same figure could be used to make a Real American Hero?

It was a really fun build, actually. First I had to get rid of the batsymbol and sculpt over the hole it was glued in. Later I've improved a bunch of his articulation points (ab and chest crunch, up and down for head, butterfly rings, legs in all directions, I've also added thigh cuts) and painted everything in mostly blacks with half a dozen shades of gray thrown in here and there. There's also the tiniest bit of red, with the Arashikage clan symbol, kunai wraps and greave straps. The sword sheath on his belt was made from scratch, it swivels and can be taken off, if needed. The black bladed ninja sword was taken from NECA movie Leonardo, I gave it a smaller guard and painted in dark metallics.

So, I guess I'm doing G.I. Joe customs now, too?
