So, a friend commissioned me some time back to make Bat Metal for a Christmas present to his boss. I don't know how many of you are familiar with this iteration of Batman, but the heavy metal youtube videos are pretty hilarious and worth checking out. In some segments of the videos, Bruce is rocking quite the ample belly. So we decided to go with a removable gut.
After a bit of back and forth, we decided the ML Movie Venom would be a good base, given the proportions in the videos. I sculpted the bat symbol, glove details and sculpted the lats and back to be a bit more bulging. Speaking of bulge, I sculpted that too. That was a first. The head was sculpted onto a McFarlane Animated Batman head, and I swapped out the lower legs with a ML Beta Ray Bill, to shorten them just a little. The hands were from a McFarlane my hero academia figure. I used a hear gun and warped the right hand into a better rock n roll hand. The microphone and stand, I found on Amazon and the cape came from gpslot on eBay. The belly was made out of green stuff. Split in the back and locks in with magnets. The belt is also magnetic and removable. I drilled out the feet to add magnets. Glued magnets on the base of the base, and the base of the mic stand. I think that's about it. Again, I know this is not a well known version of the Bats, but it was a crazy fun custom to make. Thanks for taking a look, folks.
