Hey Gang - it's been a hot minute since I posted anything here. Lots of LIFE STUFF going on in the past year. Anyway, I'm coming back in the game hard! First up...I absolutely LOVE the art style of Rafael Grampa! I've seen a few custom of his Marvel designs like Deadpool and Wolverine, especially from ActionFigureToronto (outstanding work!). and me being more of a DC guy, I wanted to do Superman and Batman in that style. I found a very specific Batman design that RG did so I copied it in as much detail as absolutely possible.

Batman is a ML Moon Knight with DC Multiverse Dick Grayson Batman head (slightly modified) with a DC Multiverse McFarlane Batman cape. Everything else is sculpted BUT the figure still retains all his original articulation! Really been working on sculpting wrinkles amd even improved my technique on the Superman figure. I'm most proud of the belt on this one though. All the belt pouches were sculpted individually in layers (Aves Apoxie Sculpt) and then attached to a canvas underlying belt that was glued to the body in a way that wouldn't inhibit the waist joint. Wrapped him up in a vibrant color scheme and he's done!

Superman is made from a ML Angel with a DC Multiverse Kingdom Come head (love that headsculpt!). From there, all the details were sculpted. I worked really hard on coming up with a design that kind of matched the style of Batman and RG's style, hence the longer shorts, laced boots, etc. The boots came from a blue suited ML figure (can't remember the name right now) but they were pretty much the same color as they are now. I did have the sand down the ab joint a bit to make room for the sculpted wrinkle look across the abs. Wrapped him up with a vibrant paintjob and then created a wired cape and he's done son!

These are two of my favorite pieces I've ever done and they're available on eBay now! (Please forgive the slight error under Batman's right arm where the black background I added in post isn't 100% completed :)
