Jonathan Crane was bullied in school because of his resemblance to Ichabod Crane and because they shared a last name apparently--yes, school kids aren't always that creative. I never knew that. I always wondered why he didn't have a different, more golden age-y name like Jonathan Crow or Jon Straw or something.

I'd always wanted to make a better DCUC Scarecrow ever since the Yellow Lantern version came out. Something more like an old school SuperFriends version. The old DCSH version wasn't that great in my opinion, but part of me always assumed Mattel would get to him eventually. I mean, he's a classic Batman villain. Well, assuming Mattel would make any kind of logical call could get you waiting a longtime.

Sadly, I never made one for myself. This one was a commission I finished up recently using strictly the Yellow Lantern version with a lot of sanding and sculpting. But I think he turned out pretty well. Hopefully you will, too.
