I've wanted to make this figure for a long time. He's one of Batman's first villains and probably the second Golden Age story I ever read. The Monk was revived by Len Wein and Gene Colan in the 80s and then by Matt Wagner about 10 years ago. Is he a vampire? Or just a cult leader? It depends on who you ask! Though lacking in much articulation the Voldemort figure was a perfect fit for him. It's a very simple recipe: lots and lots of crimson paint, some tan paint at the edges for mud, sculpy for the mask, a gold marker for his symbol and twine for the sash. There you go. He'll now take his place as # 51 in my Batman rogues gallery.  Please wait... |
