Only the Hardcore Super Mario Bros. fans will recognize this odd and obscure incarnation of the well-known Bowser. Late 80's and beginning the 90's, an American Cartoon show based on Super Mario Franchise existed, and it portrayed Bowser on this way. I think a big reason was the rights over Bowser's design (not even Nintendo polished it until Super Mario Bros. 3, being the main basis of his actual look), so they made their own version; the very same thing happened to Godzilla in the past beginning with the Hanna-Barbera productions. The diferences are more clear than the similarities, being completely green in color with a dragon/dinosaurian snout, sporting a fancy crown, and keeping all the time his original name: "KOOPA", how the character is known in Japan.

The story of the custom is funny, because I stumbled over a heavily mistreated and scuffed Bowser toy without snout. It was being sold for a very cheap price, and having on mind the opportunity of making a new custom I got it without hesitating. I scalped the remains of its head and started to work on the sculpt. The results were very satisfactory.
