Another really great figure to come out of Hasbro in recent years was their new Emperor Palpatine with really great accessories, face sculpt and hood. The only issue was the articulation. I combined a Darth Sidious TPM lower body legs and lower arms with the upper body and upper arms of the saga Emperor and the head and hands of the new force link Emperor. The advantage of this is that the he can recline in the Emperor Throne piece that comes with Luke and Vader in a Power of the Force Final Duel pack. The issue with that throne piece is that it’s quite low so originally I made him shorter then reversed that because if you look at the moulded sitting figure that comes with it and watch the film again: the Emperor declines deeply into his chair. So that’s some bad posture, but because I used a mode of upper ball hinge joint and lower waist joint he’s able to sit comfortably. I repainted his eyes to better represent the yellowed ones he has over the red yellow with eyes the figure has and added more pink around the bags under his eyes to bring out the sunken look. The robe was taken from TPM VC Sidious. I had some more fun taking some photos, my favourite being a made up rematch with Yoda, OT fans will like that it’s purely Force power based not Saber based.
