Marvel modifications #11 (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
This is a series to showcase some of my minor mods that I do to my personal figures such as part swaps, minor repaints and added accessories. Marvel Modifications is for the more minor tweaks that normally wouldn't get their own upload. Please wait... |

Because of skids i had an extra polaris head, and i didn't like the x-factor polaris at all. But it actually looks much better with the old polaris face and the new hair. I did have to arrange the tiara piece lower. FYI i did try out other heads before this and i found that this hair and the dani moonstar head made a wonderful 90's rogue head.
I liked the colors on the 2020 iron man much better so i swapped the bodies and even switched the masks on the 2020 and classic headsculpts. The flight stand should have always come with the first releases. Considering it was 30 dollars and the stand is clearly an homage to the first toybiz ironman. I found that the arc reactor is just a rubber piece fitted in there and was easy to pick out and swap, i kept both reactors in case i want to try LED at some point.
Thanos is a little more difficult to tell what i did, obviously he has a third head, i sculpted the mouth on a smiling head to give him an aangry gritted teeth look. I also made the figure about a quarter inch taller, he had a really short torso so i cracked the crotch piece and took it apart, then i took single lego bricks and glued them on top for structural support and filled with milliput. Since the waist swivel rotates in the upper half i managed to retain the articulation. And the belt is glued in place and hides it all.
As shown here, he is now almost as tall as the apocalypse figure, which i figured was a good example given that people use that body to upgrade their thanos's
