The Granites guys had lack luster toys (except for a cool head sculpt), and were way cooler in the show where their heads kinda resembled medieval helmets. I waited for an eternity for a suitable base figure to be released. Thank goodness for the Marvel Legends Thing - perfect size, detail, and articulation. My goal was that they shouldn't be recognizable at first glance as the Thing. I sculpted the faces, covered up the Thing's spandex shorts, and added Granok's shoulder fins. A base coat was airbrushed on and dry brushed the details with Citadel paints.
