"As an Avenger, its my duty to safeguard Earth." Iron Man 616

I'm a 90's kid and this was officially the first version of Iron Man I ever saw - in the Marvel Superheroes line and in the arcade game - Captain America and The Avengers. The sculpt is really good I just felt that it needed some modifications and a repaint to match the rest of my Iron Man figures. I liked the original feet with the bulky boots and round feet. I popped off the feet, and hollowed out the legs and added dumbell joints which gave a little bit of height to the figure to better match the other Iron Men - it also gave it enough room so as to not scuff the feet after the paint was applied. I also made the hinges on the shoulder pads more flexible by cutting off the old hard plastic hinges and adding some flexible plastic and gluing them down with super glue. I then painted it with the same technique I had used on the previous armors - multiple layers of flat black, silver with accents of gun metal grey under the clear red and gold over the black to give it depth. I then sealed it with a few coats of gloss clear acrylic and there you have it - Neo Classic Iron Man. This figure was made back in 2016 and as soon as I can get my hands on more I'd be happy to make these as commissions - I'm also looking forward to seeing what Marvel Legends will do with this figure and all the upcoming Iron Man figures since they now have a new buck and the War Machine looks awesome!
