Hello everyone. Hope you are all well and healthy. It's amazing what a quarantine at home can lead you to. Building a garden shack. Chopping wood. The occasional home fitness. And of course...making custom stuff of all things pop culture. And for today...I made a cape out of cloth for one of my least favourite Superman figures. Namely the one from the Public Enemies line. If you remember the figure, it came onto the market with a relatively very small plastic cape that looked really really bad and silly. Superman's cape should be majestic and regal. Not some sort of girlie dress accessory like that cape. So it was high time that a change should be made and give that metallic blue figure the respect it deserves with a cape worthy of a true hero.

Just take a very bright red cloth, measure it according to the size you wish to have. Drill a coupla holes at the neckline in order to fit the cloth cape with no fuss and no glue required. I added wires around the cape to make it look like it is flowing with the wind. I actually didn't want to add wires but my wife suggested it looks better. Since I don't have the means to see a yellow S on the back of the cape...the simplest thing to do is print outta the Internet and stick it with a double sided tape. Et voila. Looks much more better than before.
