My third and probably last Tie vessel. This scratch-built Tie Bomber dimensions are 19 x 41 x 35 cm (cca 7,6´x 16,4´x 14´). It is in scale with my previous Tie Fighter and Tie Advance X1. It took me almost 10 months to finish this model, but I didn´t have time to work on it every day. As always I used cardboard, plastic, modeling clay and foam. Wings: I used a big cardboard from an big cake box. The stripes of the solar energy collectors are made of plastic net - it makes the square pattern similar to the studio model. I used the plastic for the edges. The structure relief is made of different things you can find at home. Main hull: I used two coffee cans for the two hulls and a transparent yoghurt cap for the cockpit. The structure relief is made of plastic, thick paper, cardboard and modeling clay. I also used straws for the wing braces. The main hulls are connected with the wings through a roll from the kitchen wipes. You can also see some pictures I took during the construction in the last picture. ![]() |
