Certainly the most troubled of all my custom Mini Statues. As statues getting a suitably dynamic pose is key as obviously they allow no poseablity. I must have removed and reattached the arms at least four times before I settled on the pose you see now. Then the design of the arms themselves were arrived at only after I attached the tentacles direct to the shoulder before deciding to then attach them at the wrist. Then before any of that I purchased a toy octopus online as a source of tentacles for the statue then when it arrived I was shocked by the size and realized the larger than anticipated tentacles would never work with the scale of the statue (would later use two of the tentacles for Entrapta's hair so all was not lost on the purchase). The tentacles I finally used came from a TMNT alien bad guy and although they differ from the cartoon, where her tentacles protrude from her back, I settled on liking the re-design and figured for a character that only ever appeared in 2 episodes her design is certainly not as engrained as some of the other characters so more open to re-invention. The first paint of the figure was completed with Evil-Lyn's skirt, shin plates and knee guards as seen in my Scorpia statue. It was not until I finished painting that I realized the base would need more alteration that first anticipated. For Scorpia the base statues design lent itself to Scorpia's arachnid appearance but not too much to Octavia. So removed the skirt and sculpted a belt then sanded away the shin plates and knee guards and sculpted new knees, and boots complete with the Horde symbol. I guess to compensate for re-designing the character tentacles, the boots and belt made her much more cartoon accurate. Her hair and ears were sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt and was painted with Citadel paints. Octavia was the 2nd statue that I started in the series and out of frustration I set her aside mid-custom and made all the others. But I'm glad I came back to finish her - its just sometimes figures seem to come together on their own then others you really have to make happen.
