My previous attempt at potions on my old castle was not accurate. In fact the classrooms I made on my last Hogwarts Castle being only Defence against the Dark Arts and Potions were not. They had elements such as the back wall of potions and being situated in the dungeons but it was never as accurate as I have made it this time.

This was very satisfying to complete and I am looking forward to placing it in the castle. This potions class design was introduced in the 2nd film and then seen again in the 5th and 6th, whereas the original potions class was a large tan castle room this official one is dark and dank as it should be like the book.
Obviously a lot of dark grey went into this and details like the shape of the room and cut off points had to be adheared to. Techniques are easier nowadays with new pieces like the 5 stud long piece with rounded ends and a technic cross in the middle with allowed me to make potion cabinets stand diagonally next to Snapes desk.

There’s a desk for Snape to tell off Harry and Ron for almost exposing the Wizarding world in CoS and that same chair is where Harry had his Oclumency lessons with snape years later in OotP. Then there’s multiple desks for potions class itself with bikes Bunsen burners and a cupboard at the back (which I should make bigger) containing potions books including the HalfBlood Prince’s potion book. Also on the table is a suspended upside down diamond to represent Felix Felicis or ‘liquid luck’.

Each room tells a story and that’s why I’m including more of them in this project and making the rooms more accurate.
