I hope you are all fine !

This time, recycling of leftovers, to necessarily reduce the amount of fodder-parts, lead to a
premiere: my first dwarf !

This is Borin, son of Nàin II / father of Farin.

Recipe :

Gimli-Body, with a Thyrion Lannister-head.
I‘ve sculpted the beard, nose, eyebrows and some wrinkles on the forehead and attached the hair of Gandalf. I’m quite surprised, that there’s no more resemblance to Thyrion anymore.
I’ve braided the center braid myself, the other two came from a Vaako (Chronicles of Riddick).
Since beards are THE trademark of dwarfs, I’ve found it very coherent, to use beard-pearls, made of real brass, for the gauntlets.
Dremeled down the diameter of the forearms; cut/filed the pearls to size and imposed them over the forearms.
The hands are from King Aragorn. The rings with the gems, fit greatly.
The shiny, made-to-measure- Mithril-Chainmail, is made of that faux-„leather“ called „techno-look“, I’ve used on other figures before. It required a lot of measuring to make the shirt, (especially the sleeves) absolutely seamless. Worked pretty well and I forbeared to cover most of it with an over-garment.
So, let‘s say it’s casual-Friday in Erebor...Mithril and coat and you‘re „dressed to kill“. 😉

Added some silver ribbon for the collar.

The coat from a „the master“ (Buffy)-figure fits perfectly. Just added some faux-fur and dry-brushed it.
The belt is from Gimli, again.

I‘ve equipped him with a custom-made axe (blades from a Vaako-halberd), a sword; a long-speer (from a Riddick-figure) and a mace.
The handle is from Sauron’s mace, the multi-plade-head, is cut from a Senseo Cappuccino-pad.

The shield...I think, I‘ve made it four years ago. Finally, it has a purpose. It’s made of polystyrene, cut in half matches and as center piece, a celtic rivet, made of pewter.

Painted with citadel-colors, sealed with Valejo varnish.
