Whew! Finally made 100! I wanted to do something special for this one, so I decided to revisit my first post on the Realm. I love Kung Fury! It's just amazing 80s madness, so I was definitely psyched to have a good excuse to revisit this fantastic character.
After seeing his partner killed by a kung Fu master, he was struck by lightning, and bitten by a cobra! He was granted the power of Kung Fury and used it to become the best cop in the world!
I primarily used a Nota Studio Steve (Rogers), the title on the box literally just says Steve in big bold letters, and it is a fantastic base for customizing. The jeans were too dark, so I cut a square piece of tape to cover the left knee, since Kung had a patch, and dry brushed some pale blue and whites. I've spilled enough paint on my pants to know paint holds up all too well on denim. I cut out the two holes on the left leg, and sculpted the shoe details onto Steve's boots. I made the red tank top, and used a Mezco one 12 Logan jacket. The badge came from fodder, and I cut down Steve's hair, wrapped the bandanna with he same fabric I used for the tank top, and sculpted the hair around and on the bandanna. The shades came from a great twins Terminator. This is probably the most fun I've had in a custom in quite some time. I know the facial likeness isn't spot on, but I'm happy with how he came out.
