“Power, my dear friend. I seek power, and so I acquire and study those who have some degree of it. We are after the same things, your guild and I. Yet you worry andout ‘good’ and ‘evil’ and do not accept they are manifestations of the same thing. So you brand me a villain, and make vain attempts to destroy me.” Mannimarco is possibly one of the most evil characters in the Elder Scrolls series. Making notable appearances in Daggerfall, Oblivion and ES’s online, his legacy seeps into Skyrim with the view that Necromancy should still not be practiced. His design in Oblivion is somewhat of a disappointment or misleading choice as a Altmer if high elf lich he isn’t very lich like. This has been rectified in mods like Mannimarco revisited, but I wasn’t too keen on fan designs I have seen so I did my own. Using Daggerfall and Oblivion as inspiration of his designs I chose to use his robes from Oblivion, with a skeleton underneath with blue piercing eyes as is the idea in Daggerfall and copied the skull in revisited. Then I top of that I used a hood and cloak painted red to be based off his Daggerfall appearance. And sculpted the horns either side, again based off Daggerfall. He is an ancient Lich after all so making him a Skelton made sense. The base is Aragorn legs, Gandalf body with elbow joints from Aragorn to make double hinge, Aragorn hood and hands trimmed down to be skeletal. The head was a Haldir which you can see from the WIP has changed dramatically. I literally made big holes into the eye sockets and removed the nose ears and mouth then sculpted over from scratch and I love the look I’ve achieved. The Staff of Worms is a Kingdom of the crystal skull head skull with hands from 2 Bilbo’s and Elronds hands thinned and sanded then stuck around the scull which had to be cut off at the top and sculpted over. Then the hands were stuck and melted onto plastic bones from a skeleton. They were actually the fingers of a big skeleton cut in half the joined with melting techniques and glue and stuck onto a Gandalf staff. The chest emblem was the hardest thing to sculpt and I had to keep the game open for reference. He was started last year and then backlogged with Baurus and several others but I fin all comitted and finished him. I’m so happy his eyes come through as they sepperate him from being just a skeleton and it’s how his eyes are in Daggerfall. The WIP really shows how different he is now. Hope you all like this feel free to comment and thanks for having a look! ![]() |
