“A little privacy. A little candlelight. And the pleasantries begin. My name is Nafaalilargus... I am Tiber Septim’s loyal soldier, proud vassal, jewel of the crown... I so do love mortal fantasy...”

Nafaalilargus was a dragon the ‘jewel’ of the imperial crown. You know the Empire and their dragon motifs. Naturally most people know of the Dragons of Skyrim and this one is often forgotten despite being the first Dragon in the Elder Scrolls series. He considers himself the mercenary type and is essentially the Smaug of the series. You encounter him playing as Cyrus the Restless in the only game where you don’t have your own custom character and follow an action adventure linear story instead of a CRPG. Nafaalilargus has a large hoard of gold and the soul of the Prince of Hammerfell which you must retrieve after facing this foe. Prior to the game in the opening the fleet of the Redguards is laid low by Nafaalilargus and his flames. Interestingly his character art is much more reminiscent of Skyrims dragons in the opening but in the game his form is different but reminds me of how Thorin in the hobbit insulted Smaug calling him slow and fat in his dotage. So the idea of your character facing a dragon who isn’t in his prime makes your success more realistic and to be honest I do love his older design.

He was made from fodder sooo much fodder. The bulk of his body was literally bodies stuck together then wrapped in foil then coated in miliput. His more important points like his arms are a batman Arkham spare batman torso leading into a pole then to an Aragorn arm for the joint, then Uruk berserker swords for the rest of the arm and claw. The neck is a swivel and multiple leg or arm joints. The head was 2 feet hinges made into a working jaw then completely sculpted from scratch. Not sure who the legs belonged to just a swivel then more fodder joints and sculpted over and feet sculpted. Tail was a Deadpool leg joint left over from Dagon and arms then the tail end spike is Prince Nuala’s spear head. The wings were made from sticky red vinyl I bought online. Sort of stuff people put in cars or something for that leather look but I cut the wing shapes out 4 times and stuck together and added the webbing made from just spare plastic. Then similar to how a Sauron figures cape starches used thread through his wings I sewed to keep close to his arms. THE ENTIRE figure has been imprinted when sculpted with chainmail in large and small segments to get the scale look. He was painted with citadel paints and his eyes and teeth and mouth varnished for a natural shine.

I had him face off my original Elder Scrolls custom Modryn Oreyn. This has taken me months to make and is my biggest elder scrolls figure to date. I’m happy with how he turned out and he has changed so much. Originally I had interlocking plastic wings similar to the fell beasts wings but these work more naturally. He has a base paint of black then went over with orange then dry brushed different shades of red and his belly neck and tail was painted orange then yellow then Pallad flesh white and then gold to get the right brilliance of gold as a dragon would have sleeping on his gold. Also had earlier painted shots of him fighting Dagon standing in for the Avatar of Akatosh which I’m adding to my Mehrunes Dagon custom.

Hope you all like!

Thanks. I've never made a dragon before and the one I chose is one that reminds me of Fin Fang Foom being tall and slender instead of your typical Skyrim looking Dragons. I liked the design from the game Redguard and the name is cool and the lore surrounding the Dragon. Certainly not the most impressive dragon but he fought for the Empire and even the scales on his face remind me of their logo.
