“Will we let the Daedra do to Bruma what they did to Kvatch? No we make our stand here!” Voiced incredibly by Sean Bean, Martin Septim is the last son of Emperor Uriel Septim VII and thelast hope to stop the Oblivion crisis. An illegitimate child, Martin was raised by a farmer and became a priest of Akatosh in Kvatch. Kvatch was attacked at desimated by Daedra using a great Oblivion gate to bring forth a Great Siege engine to lay low the city. After driving the Daedra back you are recognised as the Hero of Kvatch and meet the secret son Martin. He questions the gods and their plan as no help came during the attack but you convince him to meet Jaufree leader of the blades. Over the course of the game he helps decipher the Mysterium Xarxes (Dagons book) and you retrieve the amulet of kings (see my Uriel Septim custom for more info). Using the power of the Amulet of Kings Martin is able to cast Mehrunes Dagon back into the realm of Oblivion and seal the gates of Oblivion forever. The Oblivion crisis ends as does the third era. There is a book in Skyrim about the Emperor and the Oblivion crisis also. Martin was made from a Legolas torso shortened a Boromir head who got a shave, king Aragorn forearms, legs and hands. Isuldur hair and boots, Gandalf sleeves, faramir belt, Elrond robes and 2 Elendil cloaks for the lower robe. The dagger was a Borromini sword handle with a new scratch made blade stuck in and sculpt over and the sheath was also just the same plastic. Boromirs head made sense as it’s sean bean and after some eyebrow work and mixing jokaero orange and pallid wych flesh citadel paints I achieved the right skin tone. Far less pale than his father. The neck was a winter soldier and therefore inside Martins head is the opposite from a head to fit the ball joint and allow him to headswap with Uriel. I sculpted over the body to do detail and imprinted a ragged pattern with a Frodo cape. He was made over the course of s few days and I feel like posting him next as he is less interesting in design, but this simplicity masks his importance as well as humbles him as a character who grows into his role of a leader. Thanks for having a look. ![]() |
