“When I will walk the earth again, the Faithful among you shall receive your reward: to be set above all other mortals forever. As for the rest: the weak shall be winnowed: the timid shall be cast down: the mighty shall tremble at my feet and pray for pardon.”

Apologies for the blurb but skip this paragraph if you don’t want a summary rant lol:
Mehrunes Dagon is one of the Daedric Princes from the ElderScrolls series of games and a major antagonist. During Arena he formed an alliance with Jagar Tharn, releasing hoards of Daedra (demonic creatures) into the the world and at the same time into the Battlespire (where battle mages train) to consolidate Tharns deposition of Emperor Uriel VII who was sent to a realm of Oblivion. After being expelled back to the realm of Oblivion by the Apprentice and after Tharns demise Dagon was prevented from invading over Tamriel, but by giving his book, the Mysterium Xarxes, to Mankar Camoran (a high elf or Altmer), possibly after Camoran prayed at one of Dagons shrines (seen in Skyrim and Morrowind) he began to plot to retake Tamriel. I say retake as Camoran states that Tamriel is yet another realm of Oblivion )like the Shivering Isles ruled by Sheogorath), The realms supposed Daedric Prince Lorkhan has been dead for centuries and so mortals are able to build society and their Gods are said to be Lorkhans betrayers, in short sort of similar to the Greek Gods with Zeus Hades and Poseidon overthrowing Titans and their father and becoming the Gods. So in Camorans eyes “he cannot invade Tamriel his birthright, he comes to liberate it from its decadent self.” This is extremely undesirable as everyone would be killed or enslaved and the world destroyed and remade in Dagons image. Coming across as a Saruman figure, the first thing Camoran would experience in his alliance with Dagon is a swift end I imagine, though that’s just speculation on my part. Dagon is only able to enter the mortal world of Tamriel after the Seprim Emperor has been killed as when he died the dragon fires of the temple of the one go out and can only be relit but the amulet of kings. This is stolen during the course of the game and a new Emperor must be found of the same bloodline to rebuild the barriers that prevent Dagon from entering the realm. Unfortunately before the heroes of the game can light the fires Dagon himself appearing in a giant 100 foot form appears and must be defeated to be cast back into oblivion. I realise that’s a lot to read but I just love the game series and Dagon is one of the most dangerous threats in the game series being the reason the antagonist is successful in starting his stewing of the throne, the main antagonist of Battlespire, a recognised threat in Morrowinds tribunal Religion as one of the 4 Daedric Princes that cause havoc in Dark elf eyes, the main antagonist in Oblivion and even in Skyrim: the cult who assassinated the Emperor have a museum which leads you to Dagons shrine where he has you kill someone before giving you his favour then sends Daedra to attack you anyway. Truly a vengeful hateful god.

I used 2 Marvel Select Deadpool figures cutting him in half and sticking them together after removing parts of the body. The face was taken from Elrond and the ears from a Frodo. The battle axe was Andurils Scabbard as a handle with a berserker sword inserted then 2 axe heads cut out and stuck on then sculpted over to make the shape of the battle axe. The body was resculpted with muscles after removing all the holsters and straps or cutting them off and sculpting over them. The head was reaculpted and horns were sculpted over rods inserted into the head. The skirt is 2 Theoden in armours plate skirts with his armour as the armour between and 2 rope ties from a bag. The neck brace was a Legolas cloak cut into the right shape then rectangle segments stuck on and sculpted over to make the details and 2 horns were sculpted. The claws which are reminiscent of Wolverine were just cut out from plastic 6 times then stuck together to make 3 claws then attached as well as a vambrace. At first only some sculpting happened to the face but eventually the entire face was resculpted, the mouth, brow, nose, cheeks, around the eyes etc. The only part of elrond left is the eyes which were obviously painted over. I planned this custom half a year ago and had the Deadpools ready to start around that time. But only 4 days ago did I decide it was finally time to break out the miliput and start sculpting. It was really hard to cut the pieces and required a saw but I’m happy with the result. His tattoos were especially difficult to do. His face I’m really happy with, his chest is ok. But his back arms and legs were a lot of guess work from pictures as he is gigantic and hard to see a 360 view of so some guesswork. I decided to make him the height he is in Battlespire and he is the largest ES figure I have currently finished. I felt him being giant and using 2 marvel icons would be expensive and not something I wanted to do anyway as I have dioramas I want to use him in. He still towers over my other creations even the biggest ones, but is a decent size. Also I never realised Dagon has 2 toes on both feet instead of the regular, it’s true I mean how often do you look st a mans shoes? (Yes that’s from Shawshank). It was important for me to make Mehrunes Dagon as he was an antagonist appearing in most of the early games or at least a palpable threat recognised by all and with a Oni, Ninja turtle, Wolverine, barbarian, devil, demon, monster appearance he stands out quite nicely.

I have more to come from the Elder Scrolls and I’m sure you’re all mainly familiar with his Skyrim Shrine.

Also just added his fight with the Avatar of Akatosh in a force perspective shot as he’s not that big but in Oblivion him and the dragon are both giants so used jaufree as size reference to show these titans fighting. Akatosh’s Avatar is just my Nafaalilargus custom midway through painting as he was golden and orangelike the Avatar and had yellow eyes and I justhung the Amulet of Kings on his neck to signify Martins sacrifice summon.

Not done here as I still did a lot of sculpting on his face and the axe and added toe nails and earrings later

Thanks. As you know making orcs helps with this type of face sculpt as you're making teeth and fangs and inhuman features. His Tattoo design is also not symetrical so that was fun getting right hahaha thanks again!
