My first custom! I love the God of War series, and I've always loved the look of Kratos' armor from the beggining of God of War 2. When I learned that there was a action figure of him with said armor, I bought it right away. The figure has a great sculpt, but I always hated how it was colored. It had nothing to do with how he looked in the game, with so much black, dull gold, dull red and smudges of paint in the wrong areas!
So I took it upon myself to make it better, so I gave the entire armor an entirely new paint job, with the correct and more vibrant colors. I also made a small customization with the shoulder pads, by removing the outer piece and glueing it a little higher, like it's supposed to be in the game. And another small thing I did was to strenghten the leg and feet joints with super glue, because holy crap were they loose, and it was very easy for him to fall down thanks to the weight of his torso.
I didn't dismantle him for painting, since I'm still new at the customizing thing, and was afraid to screw up. And because of that I had to be really careful to not accidently hit the pencil in the wrong areas by accident, and that probably triplicated the time it would have taken me if I had dismantled him. Regardless, I am extremely happy with how he looks now :)
