1:18th Scale Mephisto with throne!

Hide yo' (unborn) kid! Hide yo' wife! Because this contract-loving, mother-stealing, Lord of Hell is out to make deals that are guaranteed to ruin your day!

Now on to the breakdown!

Mephisto:

-I built this bad-boy using a Thor: The Mighty Avenger line Frost Giant because I wanted to make him bigger and taller than most MU figures without looking too bulky.
-I modified the arms by lengthening them a bit and giving him hinged wrists for added articulation.
-Sculpted every additional detail on him including the gloves, boots, belt and the little wrinkles on his suit
-Sculpted him up an original head-sculpt (using ProCreate putty) that I based off of his Infinity Gauntlet with some modifications like a redder skin-tone instead of the classic pink, a less gaunt face and a fuller head of hair for a more contemporary look.
-Gave him a fully pose-able cape that I made using red spandex, bead wire, and some fabric glue that I then weathered and stained using a soldering iron, paints, and some charcoal for some authentic looking singed effect. The loincloth are also spandex.
-Painted him up with Vallejo Game Colors and sealed with lacquer spray-paint.

Throne :

-Built thw throne using a styrofoam as base, covered it up in foil and tape to get the rough shape, and then sculpted it over with paper mache for the stone parts(Used heavy-duty wood glue on the paper mache mixture for a tough finish).
-Sculpted the bone spikes, protruding giant spine, and broken ribs using Aves Apoxie.
-Recasted a bunch of G.I. Joe Montezuma skeleton arms and heads that I liberally sprinkled(and partially buried) all over the throne for a more macabre look.
-Painted it up with with Vallejo Model Color for a duller shading that vividly contrasts with the figure's more vibrant Vallejo Game Color paint application.


This has been a fun build that involved a LOOOOOOOT of sculpting and I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. Not too bad for my first diorama piece, huh?
