I've been wanting to make a Marvel Acroyear for a good decade. I suppose I was holding off in hopes that Hasbro would get to work on something (of course now that I made this they'll announce a new line at Toy Fair).

I was born well after Micronauts heyday, but I stumbled upon some backissues at a flea market and I was instantly drawn to Acroyear. The modern interpretations of the character seem to lack the charistmatic goofy 70s charm. To match it as closely as possible the majority of the figure is sculpted with apoxy. This is definitely the most sculpting I've done on a figure, and I learned quite a bit to hopefully keep improving for future projects.

The recipe is a Marvel Legends Venom base, some random anime sword, a baf onslaught head, a slightly modded Vance astro head for the unmasked look, and finally a baf movie Vulture flight pack both chopped and dremeled and flipped upside down.
