Here is my next Tom of Finland figure, a sailor. Tom of Finland is an artist known worldwide for his male erotic art. His many pieces spanned over three decades and helped to define gay culture. To make the sailor, I used a WWE Elite figure. I sanded the pockets off the thighs and smoothed it over with sculpy. To create the flared out pants legs, I built up the legs below the knees with epoxy. After it cured, I coated and smoothed out sculpy over the legs, then sanded it after it dried. I sculpted the buttocks, as well as the crotch. I had to sculpt the hair to cover the headpiece that was glued on to the wrestler, and used a toothbrush to make the hair stubble. I crafted the sailor hat out of sculpy. I spray painted the pants and hat, but had to brush paint some of it. White is so hard to brush paint and never yields good results. I drew on the tattoo with a colored pencil, as well as the hairs on his arm and chest. I included a picture of one of the pieces of artwork that the figure was inspired by.
