Named after his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, Anakin Solo was a Jedi Knight in Grandmaster Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order, the third child of Han and Leia Solo and the younger brother of Jaina and Jacen Solo.

Anakin was one of the pivotal figures in the brutal Yuuzhan Vong War, participating in several of the major battles and developing effective tactics against the Yuuzhan Vong. He played a role in starting the heretical movement among the extra-galactic invaders that ultimately helped bring the end of the war. Later, Anakin led the Myrkr strike team to end the scourge of the Jedi-killing voxyn.
