From Clive Barker's Nightbreed, I chose to create a background extra. He has no name, but is easy to identify in the film because he carries a musical lyre with him. I always imagined this Breed to be a poet. I always thought he was a cool design, even though he barely gets screen time. In the theatrical cut, he only appears in the end when the Breed gather in a barn and face an uncertain future. The Director's Cut gave him a couple more glimpses. To make the unnamed musician, I used a Spike figure from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I used Sculpy to fashion his white pants, and string to create the ties at the end of his pants legs. The feet/ankles come from a Marvel Legends Submariner figure. I used a little sculpy on the upper torso to cover Spike's burn scars. The head was a random cast resin head I got off Ebay. I used Sculpy to add the tubular formations on the top of his head. The rest was just painting. I used medical tape for his bandage, cut into narrower strips. The lyre was a wood carving I found on Ebay. I altered it a little bit and then painted it. I have included a promotional photo from the movie for comparison.
