I love the concept designs featured in the pre-production art for the original Star Wars trilogy by Ralph McQuarrie. I was ecstatic when Hasbro released the beautifully made reproductions of his work in the form of action figures. I did, however, want Boba to look a little more like the design featured in the Cloudy City scenes that McQuarrie visualized, so I added the serape. I used the cloak from a vintage Pruneface figure, cutting it to the needed shape. I used a brown Prismacolor colored pencil to make the dark wavy pattern across the serape, then sprayed it with sealant so that it wouldn't rub off onto the figure or my hands. Then, I just stitched it on, securing it beneath Fett's right gun arm. I included a picture by McQuarrie that shows this version of Fett and Vader as our heroes are betrayed by Lando.
