Uglies come from the old Star Wars Expanded Universe. They were starfighters cobbled together from parts of various vehicles, and were mostly used by pirates, smugglers, etc. This is a Y-Tie, a Y-wing fuselage with the wings of a Tie Fighter. I used a vintage Y-wing and wings from a Force Awakens Tie Fighter. I used styrene and Apoxie Sculpt to cover up the connections between the parts. Both the original Y-wing sound feature and the Tie Fighter's exploding wing feature still work. I printed new stickers for inside of the cockpit. The pilot is an A-wing pilot body with an Episode 3 Tarkin head, and a B-wing pilot's helmet. The droid is a repainted R5-D4. I made the droid socket on the ship larger to accommodate the larger modern droid figure. I made new guns on the front of the cockpit out of paint brush handles. I also created a small clear display stand to help hold up the vehicle.
