I told you guys May was only a matter of time.

Recipe:

Base- Invisible Woman
Skirt- Six (Battlestar Galactica from DST)
Head- 3d printed

So this is a custom I've known I was going to do for a long time. I'm very much a "plan first, buy what you can, customize the rest" sort of collector, and the idea of having Spider-ized versions of both May AND Ben Parker was something I wanted to have from day one. However, I also knew getting official versions of either was a lost cause. Ben because Marvel couldn't settle on what his costume was supposed to look like before killing him in Web Warriors, and May because she's been in 4 stories and two of them were only a few pages long.

But I wanted it anyway, because I am a crazy man.

I started this custom with Invisible woman, who I actually disassembled and sanded all the joints down on so I could more easily attach/detach pieces for various stages of painting. The Head was next, printed from a 3d model I edited together using a model rip from the Spider-Man unlimited mobile game and printed using Shapeways (I do have the model up if anyone wants to use it). I looked up various Peggy Carter customs for ideas on the skirt, going through a couple different options before settling on Six'

However, I don't think I would have been able to finish this custom without help from the forums here. I had no idea how to do the shoulders, but Henchmen4Hire responded to my post suggesting I use ProCreate, which was a nightmare to work with but the result was almost exactly what I needed. I also came across another thread concerning painting softer plastics like capes, and followed advice offered by Antithetical regarding using Angelus paint, which was useful for both the shoulders and skirt.

All in all, I'm very happy with the result.
