Scarlet-Spider (Spider-Man) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:1009
Name:Scarlet-Spider
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Spider-Man
Creator:somethingdifferent
Date Added:August 29, 2006
Base Figure:Urban Legends Dare Devil
Height:6.30 inches
This is my Scarlet-Spider custom. A semi-quick custom to make but still a little tricky because of the head I was working with.

The figure consists of DD's entire body, an old Spidey head (with the web design molded into it!!(dogs bollocks) a piece of light blue fabric and some other plastic parts to make the ankle bags and the web shooters.

I started by ripping out DD's head then mixing reds together to get a darker "scarlet". Then cut up the blue fabric to fit well and gorilla glued the first layer and wrapped the extra fabric around back and rubber banded over the already applied Gorilla Glue and popped the head on. Then came the web shooters and ankle bags. Glued 'em. Painted 'em. Then I drew the eyes on. I waited til last so I could see him standing to see if I should make them huge or justa little smaller, but it turned out great aside from the lines showing on the head even though I sanded them clean off.

Thanks for taking a look.

The wrist things off the 5 inch Scarlet Spider would work fine, but of course you have to have one to use them

Haha, you both pointed out the same stuff I didn't like. The shoulders are like that because I used the Dare Devil as a base and that particular DD just was made with messed up looking shoulders. The wrist launchers I agree could be better, if I could fine some stinkin' apoxy or sculpy or whatever. Where can I find some again?
Also the head, you can still see some of the web design for some reason but I sanded that head for at least an hour and a half. I know that it lost a pot of plastic.

I like the spider design on the shirt - I don't think I could pull it off
the shoulders on the bottom picture make him look out of place though
all in all I like it ankle belts , wrist launchers and sweater work out nice
thanks for the figure

Wow! That's a sweet Scarlet!
I don't know about the wrist blasters, though. Try to find something more 3d
