Obviously, no one was impressed with my Bebop and Rocksteady (and why would they, really? Simple repaints, mostly), but lets see how they react to the masterpiece of my NECA '87 cartoon collection . . . the ALMIGHTY KRANG!! This figure required exactly four components: 1) Mattel WWE Elite Flashback Andre the Giant (blue trunks, red boots, leather vest) 2) NECA TMNT '87 cartoon Krang (obviously) 3) 1/4" disc neodymium magnets (a BUNCH of them) 4) A metric $#!+LOAD of Loctite Epoxy Repair Putty And that's really it. This is a figure for which I can't really relay a recipe, nor can I reproduce it due to my current mental . . . instability. This figure is almost entirely original sculpt, top to bottom. The only visible original parts of Andre are the shoulder balls, the trunks (painted red, of course), the hip joints, the knees, and the feet. Everything else has been pretty much completely covered. The hands are, of course, all magnetic, and they either come directly from the cartoon (the axe head, the communicator, and the clipper) or from the classic Krang action figure (the blaster gun, a painstaking reproduction of the sculpt of the gun that came with the small early '90s version of Krang with similar swap hands). If I recall correctly, the "regular" hands actually did come from other figures as well, but I cannot for the life of me remember which figures (the fists might be from a Mario). And of course, I did one set of hands in flesh color and one in red, because Fred Wolf Animation notoriously could not decide whether his hands were flesh tone like the rest of his arms or red like his boots. And the rest? All sculpt and paint and faithful attention to the original cartoon model. My goal was to make the most cartoon accurate Krang Android Body on Figure Realm. So . . . how did I do? :D TURTLE POWER!! ![]() |

As for skills . . . well, at the moment, neither do I! Brain damage will do that to ya. *LOL* But seriously, looking at your Ultraman figure . . . nice clean lines, even if it took you a long time, your sculpt work is solid. I'm sure you could do a Krang like this with patience.
I'm basing all my '87 TMNT figures on their original appearances. When Krang's Android Body was first activated, he literally jumped off the table and started shadow-boxing, throwing punches to test out his full range of motion. And then he took on all four turtles single-handedly while Shredder had his hands full with just Splinter. *LOL*
Now, to be fair, he was always chunky and had limited range of motion, so I did actually build this figure with that in mind (particularly his arms, they don't got a whole lot of forward or vertical motion and they stick out from his body rather than coming down straight, just like all his character art, that's deliberate), but still, he was slimmer than they drew him in later seasons, and especially the 2012 CGI cartoon, where they made him look like a giant dough-ball.
