So there was no way I was gonna have a Spider-Man shelf without having SOME representation of the lovely Mary Jane Watson, but with everyone and their mother having spider powers, I didn't want just a plain clothes version. I toyed with the idea of putting her in the Iron Spider garb like she wore at one point (a costume I personally love) but ultimately I decided to do the alternate reality "Spinneret" (aka What if Joe Quesada hadn't had Spider-Man MAKE A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL) instead.

Recipe (lifted basically wholesale from mlegendcustomizer's version):

Base- Dagger
Head- Shadowcat head cast

This one is pretty simple on its face, but MAN was it a pain to get her done.

Head was the first part I did, replacing Kitty's ponytail with a hair bun that I must have worked and reworked over 30 times trying to give it the right shape and weight to match the look of a real hair bun. I bought Dagger after that, and once that was in hand I sculpted the boot cuffs before painting the red areas before the *real* work began.

The linework was mostly done using several fine tip white sharpies, since after a bit the red paint would clog the nozzle of the pen and I'd have to switch out. The whole thing was super arduous, particularly around the blasted fingers.

Fun Fact: I went out and got a new thing of Citadel red paint for this custom... didn't realize until I got home that it was SPECIFICALLY "Mephiston Red."
