I wanted to have the duo of Spider-Ben and Spider-Ma'am ever since I was introduced to both with the Spider-Verse event, just because it's such a crazy pairing. And with Ben done, doing may is only a matter of time...

Recipe:

Base- Green Goblin
Shoulders, Hips- Starlord
Arms, Legs- Ghost Rider
Head- Hydra Soldier (extra head from MCU Red Skull)

Biggest hurdle for this one was figuring out how to do it. Early on I bought a broken Starlord (missing head and hip joint was loose) intending to use it as a base, but once I got him in hand I decided the torso was too lean for Ben. Instead, I used a spare Green Goblin body I used for my Harry Osborn custom and popped the torso to insert the Starlord arms and legs. I didn't feel like trying to resculpt the starlord gloves and boots though, so after some waffling I caved and got a Ghost Rider just for the lower limbs. I then cut and glued two rubber bands around the shins to simulate the wrapped look from the comics.

As for the head, it was mostly just a case where it fell to hand. I was planning to use the leftover Spider-UK head from my Kaine custom, but I could not find the head when I went to work on Ben. Instead, I used a spare Hydra head I got with Red Skull and sanded off almost all the detail, leaving some of the back of the head/neck intact because I felt liked the detail. Filled the face back in with Fixit, and sculpted the ears.

Painting this one was FUN. I bought an airbrush around the time I was working on it, so Ben became my first custom to use it. I airbrushed the entire figure Blue, then added a black wash and some dry brushing to really bring out the detail. Handpainted the rest of the details (including two layers of paint for every. single. silver. detail.)

Overall, one of my favorite customs so far. Still trying to figure out May. Head I've got handled, main issue is that skirt, especially since I dislike fabric on figures. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.
