Granita and her brother Rokkon were raised by their wise mentor and leader Stonedar on the planet Geolon until it was destroyed by Horde Prime. Although the Comet Warriors were scattered in space, Granita followed Stonedar, who had saved their precious Sun Stone and with it led them to the safety of another planet: Eternia. Upon landing, Granita was horrified to learn the Horde were in the process of invading. While Rokkon was eager to fight as always, Granita believed that higher powers had intended them to help spare Eternia from the same fate as Geolon. Her faith persuaded the pacifist Stonedar to choose to fight alongside the Eternians.
